Digital delivery lead

Job Overview

The BMA is looking for an organised and dynamic digital expert to ensure one of our primary digital channels - the BMA website - meets the user needs of its primary audience, the UK doctor population. The role is a one-year fixed term contract. It is London-based, however for the right candidate we can consider them working on a hybrid or fully remote-working arrangement.

In this role you will:

  • have oversight of current and future digital development driven by the communications & policy directorate as well as in partnership with the wider organisation
  • focused on the BMA website which was re-launched in Spring 2020
  • work closely with the head of content & audience and the website product manager to ensure optimum performance and user experience of the BMA’s digital audience
  • support other digital platforms used by the communications and policy team as required

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • very good working knowledge of content management systems (CMSs) with a distinct advantage of direct experience of the Umbraco platform
  • expertise and experience in managing external digital agencies - ensuring maintenance and development work is completed to high-quality standards as well as on time and cost
  • to work closely with other team members to create a longer term roadmap for the website.
