About the role:
We are looking for a full-time Administrator to provide support to our BMA Scotland Office, including support to committees, senior management and our team of Member Service advisers. Based in Edinburgh, Scotland, the successful candidate will also work with the team to provide support for the office facilities to deliver an excellent level of service to customers using the office.
This is predominantly an office-based position, however the appointed candidate may work from home on occasion.
This is a fixed term contract role until early July 2024.
As an Administrator you will:
- Provide administrative support to the National Director for Scotland and the Head of Operations Scotland
- Provide full administrative support to the committee secretariat, including the preparation of papers for committees, maintenance of databases and updating the BMA website when required
- Diary management and administrative support to the Member support team
- Supporting the corporate services manager in ensuring a smooth running of the office, including managing meeting room bookings, room set up, being the first point of contact for visitors, and handling any requests
To be successful in this role you'll have:
- Demonstrable experience in an administrative role
- Excellent organisational skills and proven ability to prioritise and manage own workload
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal are required
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- The ability to handle complex and confidential information
- Accuracy and a good eye for detail
- Excellent customer service skills
- Experience of working with the full MS Office suite is required
