The British Medical Association (BMA) is the trade union and professional body for doctors in the UK.  We represent, support and negotiate on behalf of all UK doctors and medical students. 

 

We're looking for a Assistant Facilities Manager to join our estates team at BMA House in London. BMA House is an historic, grade 2 listed building and venue in the heart of central London.

The successful applicant will support the operational day to day facilities management of the building. They will work closely with and manage 3rd Party contractors, oversee preventative maintenance, provide occupational Health & Safety guidance for the workplace and be the first point of contact for all enquiries and queries from tenants and employees.

 

They will also deputise for the Head of Estates when required and will support them with project work.

 

Due to the nature of the role, the successful applicant will predominantly be based onsite at BMA House however, there is flexibility to work from home when required.

 

As a Assistant Facilities Manager you’ll have:

 

  • Previous experience in similar or equivalent role in facilities
  • Knowledge of facilities and building management
  • Good communication skills with the ability to liaise and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong organisational skills and ability manage several tasks and priorities
  • Good stakeholder management skills
  • Experience of successfully managing and coordinating projects to deadlines
  • Ability to work well in a team and autonomously
  • Practical problem solving skills
  • Accuracy and an eye for detail
  • Proficient use of MS Office suite (in particular MS Excel)
  • Health and Safety Management qualification (ISOH or NEBOSH) (desirable)
