About the Role:
BMA House is an award-winning, beautiful, and sustainable events venue. Sat in the heart of London, we have a true history of hospitality and our venue has 21 unique spaces for conferences, dinners, award ceremonies and weddings.
We are seeking an enthusiastic Business Development Events Executive to join the Sales & Events team.
The Business Development Events Executive will collaborate closely with key team members to drive new business into the venue, identifying target markets with the ultimate aim of increasing revenue at BMA House.
If you have previous experience in events, sales or hospitality or are a graduate in events, marketing or business and are looking to start you career in the sector then we’d love to hear from you. You’ll be joining a supportive and hard working Sales & Events team.
As a Business Development Events Executive you will:
- Generate new corporate enquiries for BMA House.
- Proactively contacting lapsed clients and clients from our database or targeting markets to develop business opportunities.
- Collaborate alongside the Business Development Event Manager to deliver the five-year sales plan.
- You will achieve set KPIs that focus on a number of calls, show rounds and appointments alongside achievement of sales targets.
- Produce monthly reports to the Business Development Event Manager, Sales Manager and Marketing Manager on the current pipeline.
- You will be aware of how to apply yield management strategies to maximise revenue opportunities.
- You will develop a list of key agencies to target to generate more business.
- Grow the presence of BMA House in the national and international markets.
- You will maintain a strong knowledge of the venue’s key competitors and their business.
This role requires flexibility to meet the demands including some weekend/ evening work and some early starts and late finishes. You will be required to attend industry trade shows and networking events to raise the profile of BMA House.
About you:
- You’ll be a motivated and results driven
- A minimum of a BTEC/ A level or equivalent is required
- This role could be suited to a Graduate in events, hospitality, marketing or business
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills – email, phone & face-to-face
- Comfortable building relationships and networking at events
- Strong IT skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
- Previous experience in hospitality, sales or events would be advantageous
