Executive Liaison Officer
Job Overview
We are looking for a highly organised individual, with good communication skills and a great eye for detail to fill this key role supporting the BMA's chief officers and chair of UK council. Assisting the chief officers' special advisor, you will work with the PA to the chief officers in managing the flow of information to and from the chair of UK council.
Responsible for monitoring the chair of council's email inbox, the successful applicant will assist in drafting communication materials and responses to enquiries on policy, political and membership matters for the chair of council and chief officers. You will also co-ordinate the production of the chair of council's weekly newsletter which highlights key activities across the BMA.
This is a roll at the heart of the BMA where you will draw on your excellent stakeholder skills to liaise with colleagues across the Association to ensure the chief officers and UK chair of council are effectively supported in their day-to-day business.
To succeed in this role proven experience of supporting elected leaders in a local authority, trade union, government or similar setting would be an advantage as well as all-round excellent communications skills (written, verbal, networking). This is a rewarding, fast-moving political environment, requiring constant coordination and assessment of priorities in which you will draw on your personal resilience and ability to respond positively when faced with setbacks.
We are normally based at BMA House, but currently we’re all working from home. However you’ll receive all the support you need to do your job.
