Job Purpose

BMJ is a global healthcare knowledge provider with a vision for a healthier world. We share knowledge and expertise to improve healthcare outcomes. This is a great opportunity to join our friendly HR team to help us deliver an excellent reward package and compelling data analysis.

The Role Holder will provide analysis and administration to support development and delivery of a leading compensation and benefits package.  This will include working on the annual pay and bonus cycle, implementation of midyear pay changes and supporting pay management across both UK and non-UK teams.

There will also be opportunities to help improve the total reward package, including working with providers to launch new benefits options and identify emerging benefits for further investigation.

The role holder will also provide specialist analytical guidance to support data quality and reporting through various data sources to the HR team, and where appropriate, to the wider organisation.   This will include regular HR dashboards, annual overviews and ad hoc requests from senior management, as well as statutory reporting such as annual gender pay gap reporting.

Provision, interpretation and presentation of reliable data will support the HR team in general, and support strategic projects elsewhere in the organisation.  Active involvement in reward projects will support their success while also offering the opportunity for greater understanding of reward principles.

  • Support HR colleagues with data requests and work on projects as required

  • Contribute to the HR team’s delivery of outstanding service and information to BMJ management and staff

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Experience of working with data and analysis within a HR environment

  • Experience of compensation and benefits an advantage, but interest in the topic and willingness to learn more about it is a must

  • Data and IT literacy, including comfort with MS Excel/Google Sheets

  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritise own work accordingly

  • Experience of delivering reports and presentations to management level audiences
