About the role
We’re looking for a Head of IT Operations to join our Technology Services team. The successful candidate will be a part of the Senior Management team within the directorate and will report into the Chief Information Officer.
This is a fixed term contract role for 18 months and will involve a mix of working from home and from BMA House in Central London.
In this newly created role, the successful candidate will plan and execute against strategic objectives within the remit of the platform / infrastructure team. They will have high level deliverables, including reviewing a high value contract, management of infrastructure projects and future resource planning. They will also line manager a team of 3 direct reports alongside the overall management of the service delivery and infrastructure teams.
To be successful as a Head of IT Operations you’ll have:
- Extensive experience in a similar role in a b2c environment (minimum of 250 users). 4+ years in senior roles
- Extensive experience of infrastructure supplier contract management and review
- Experience of reviewing and implementing functional target operating models
- Experience of managing and developing high performing teams
- Proven experience of working within a senior leadership team
- Qualifications and understanding of Microsoft platform environments
- Strategy setting experience alongside executing against deliverables
- Ability to understand the technical and business context of the role, its requirements and priorities
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Strong relationship building and collaboration skills
- Budget management experience
