About the role

We’re looking for an Infrastructure Manager to join our Technology Services directorate. This is a fixed term contract role for 12 months.

This is an opportunity for an experienced Infrastructure Manager to oversee and make improvements to our end user computer and cloud-based infrastructure. The successful candidate will also manage and lead on key projects including  our Azure re-build and migration, Windows 11 implementation and reviewing our telephony offer.

 The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing a small technical team that provides and supports the Cloud and End User computing requirements for the British Medical Association and its operating companies so that they may achieve their business objectives.

This is a hybrid role and will involve a mix of working from home and at BMA House in Central London (1 day per week in the office).

To be successful as an Infrastructure Manager you'll have:

  • Experience and a proven track record in managing end user computer and cloud-based infrastructure to support medium and large-scale business solutions in partnership with a range of business and technical owners
  • Previous experience in an infrastructure management role
  • Relevant technical qualifications in Microsoft technologies, cloud-based technologies
  • Good understanding of cloud based and hybrid infrastructure
  • Proven experience in managing, organising and coordinating small teams
  • Ability to co-ordinate activities and collaborate with other teams and third parties to complete tasks
  • Project Management skills
  • Ability to build good relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
