Library and evidence support collections specialist

Job Overview

We are looking for a dynamic library and evidence support collections specialist to implement the collections policy that supports the library’s e-first strategy; ensuring that all services are member-led, have equality of access and are cost effective and sustainable. This will include oversight of both electronic and print collections to ensure the effective delivery and implementation of user-focused, high quality information services to support the needs of the BMA and its members and to position our services as the library of the future.

To succeed in this role you will need:

  • Experience of managing collections, ideally in a health or academic environment. 
  • You will be committed to ensuring equality of access to all of the BMA’s members and will have the ability to build strong professional relationships and networks and promote collections and services innovatively.
  • You will need excellent communication skills and outstanding interpersonal skills.

If you would like to help the BMA in its association wide activities focusing on ensuring that all of the BMA's members are able to access excellent information services when they need them - this role is for you.

Interviews will take place week of 22 August.
