Library and evidence support lead

Job Overview

We are looking for a dynamic library and evidence support lead to manage the day to day running of the BMA library, archive and evidence support services and manage a well-established and high performing staff team. This will include maintenance of the library’s e-first strategy which ensures that all services are member-led, ensure equality of access for all members, are cost effective and sustainable.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • strong experience of leading teams, delivering strategies and annual work plans
  • good knowledge of corporate social environmental responsibility with a focus on sustainability as well as experience in developing knowledge management principles and putting these into practice at an organisational level
  • excellent communication skills and outstanding interpersonal skills with good negotiation and influencing skills.

The British Medical Association (BMA) is the professional association and trade union for doctors and medical students in the UK. It has a prominent and influential position at the very heart of current debate over the future of healthcare provision.
