About the role
BMA House is the headquarters of the BMA and is a stunning grade II listed building in the heart of Bloomsbury. This role is part of the venues team which are responsible for selling BMA House as a venue to drive revenue into the BMA.
This new will play a key part in growing BMA House as an events venue and improving its presence in different markets.
The main responsibilities for this role include:
- To respond to incoming telephone and email enquiries from clients wishing to hold events at BMA House
- To sell events at BMA House to drive up revenue
- To undertake show rounds and upsell where possible
- To liaise with service teams to plan events in a timely manner to the highest standard
- To prepare deposits and final invoice and ensure clients pay on time
- To work with the team to improve processes at BMA
To be successful in the role you'll ideally have:
- Previous experience in an events planning or equivalent role would be beneficial
- A background in hospitality
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Time management skills in order to deal with the demands of tight deadlines and prioritise competing demands
- Problem solving skills with an ability to negotiate
